Subsequent consultations

You are able to book time with me for further consultations as the need arises.

Acting for you

Following our meeting you may feel that you can agree matters with your spouse directly. Alternatively you may request I act for you and try to reach agreement in correspondence between solicitors. Another method could be collaborative law, mediation or court proceedings.  You may decide that court proceedings are the appropriate route and request I represent you in those proceedings.

You may have agreed terms directly with your spouse but need help with drafting the paperwork. I can do this for you.

Your point of contact is always with me and I will always work with you directly. You will not be put through to assistants or administration staff. I will not transfer your case to colleagues. I can see you in the City or at an office closer to you.

My services are charged at an hourly rate agreed with you in advance and at the outset of your case I will provide you with a written cost estimate of your likely costs. I am happy to provide you with interim bills and keep you up to date with your costs. I am always happy to discuss your costs and your budget with you.  Occasionally, in limited circumstances I can provide  my services under a fixed fee. If you would prefer a fixed fee please ask.

I am not able to offer legal aid. Legal aid is only available by those offering it in limited circumstances. For information on your eligibility for legal aid please visit www.legalservices.gov.uk.  In family law it is generally not possible to claim your legal fees from your spouse. You are responsible for your legal fees and not your spouse.  I am able to signpost you to respected loan products to help you fund your case. If you are experiencing domestic abuse I can sign post you to relevant services.
